CNS&E Journal adheres strictly to high standards for publishing quality manuscripts with the support of eminent and distinguished scientists, academicians and engineers of the editorial board, in compliance with the journal’s publishing, review and license agreement policies.

Editorial Board and Publishing Policy

  1. Editorial Board:

Composition: The Editorial Board of CNS&E consists of nationally and internationally recognized experts from diverse research areas. Board members are appointed based on their expertise, publication record, and commitment to uphold the journal’s mission and quality standards.

Responsibilities: The CNS&E editorial board will provide strategic guidance and advise on editorial policies to ensure high-quality peer review for promoting the journal’s global visibility for new science.

Conflict of Interest: Board members must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to submitted manuscripts and recuse themselves from relevant decision-making processes.

  1. Publishing Policy:

Scope: Current natural sciences & engineering (CNS&E) is an interdisciplinary journal that publishes original research in natural sciences covering all the aspects in the field of energy, environment, nano-materials, carbon footprint, sustainable agriculture, health science, metrology, nuclear science, applied chemistry, industrial research & engineering. The journal publishes original experimental and theoretical work, review articles, and short communications in the field of basic and applied natural sciences for the benefit of society besides augmenting the existing knowledge of the scientific community.  The journal prefers and encourages articles with novel and completely new ideas supporting sustainability goals. Manuscripts submitted to the journal will be critically peer-reviewed by an expert reviewer team in the subject area and the final decision on the suitability of the manuscripts to be published in the journal will solely depend on the editor.

CNS&E Publication and Licensing Policy

  1. The journal follows a partially open-access publishing model which provides an option to authors and their respective research funding agencies to sponsor the open availability of the journal’s copyrighted articles on the website at the time of online publication.
  2. In exchange for a publishing fee (APC) from the author(s) or research grant agency, CNS&E as the copyright holder permits the rights and will enable unrestricted access to the final published article from the journal’s website.
  3. CNS&E will also permit authors to post electronic copies of the final published article on their own personal websites and on institutional repositories for non-commercial scholarly purposes.
  4. CNS&E will provide the corresponding author or co-author or licensing sponsor with a copy of the final published article in PDF format.

Manuscript Submission: Submissions must be uploaded on the online platform as per the journal’s guidelines regarding format, word count, and references.

Peer Review: All manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process by at least one or more qualified experts. The chief editor/editor is responsible for the final decision on publication based on the reviewer’s recommendations.

Open Access: The journal is partially open-access based on the hybrid model.

Data Availability: Authors are encouraged to share data underlying their research openly according to FAIR data sharing policy.

Ethical Guidelines: The journal adheres to rigorous ethical standards as outlined in COPE. Authors are responsible for ensuring their research compliance with COPE standards.

Retraction and Correction: The journal has clear policies for handling retractions and corrections of published articles in case of scientific misconduct or errors under the COPE ethical guidelines.

Appeals: Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions based on clearly defined procedures.

Journal Review Policy

The manuscript submitted in CNS&E journal is first checked for technical compliance and plagiarism (as per UGC & international guidelines) by the journal office team. After technical compliance of the received manuscript, chief editor will assess the suitability of the manuscript for the journal’s scope and standard, then assign it to one of the editorial board members. If an editor is the coauthor in manuscript or have conflict of interest, the chief editor will assign it to another editorial board member. The editor will evaluate the quality and the scientific validity of the work and will take decision to proceed with peer-review or not. Later, based on the peer review reports, the editor will take a decision for further recommendations, but they are not obliged to follow the reviewers comments strictly. The manuscript may be rejected if the editor or a peer reviewer raises an issue. The editor will send the peer review reports along with the final decision on the manuscript to the authors.

In the cases where the editor or reviewers have requested major or minor revisions to the manuscript, the corresponding author will be invited to undertake revisions in the manuscript. A deadline will be specified to the authors to resubmit the revised manuscript. The resubmitted manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for approval.

Additional Policies

Author misconduct: The journal takes allegations of author misconduct seriously and investigates them in accordance with established procedures.

Plagiarism and copyright: The journal has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism and copyright infringement.

Confidentiality: The journal maintains the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.

Amendments: This policy may be amended at any time by the Chief Editor in consultation with the editorial board. The updated policy will be available on the CNS&E website from time to time.
